Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd continued to build on her victory in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She finished all of her opponents within the first round. Then, she returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen a unanimous defeat and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd recovered from this loss to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen turned professional in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the the first round via TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise from Bantamweight to her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used the superior techniques she learned from wrestling to defeat McGill. She won her fight via an KO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen then went on to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, but Aspen won and beat Hoy via TKO. As for her final fight for this promotion, Ladd fought Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by grounding and pounding her before prevailing by TKO during the second round. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd defeated Evinger in the first round. She also received a performance of the night bonus. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's debut major fight. Ladd's victory was a unanimous decision, as well as her Fight of the Night award came to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16-seconds to break her streak of winning. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya during the third round in UFC at ESPN 7. In a match that was a replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. She lost by unanimous decision.
