Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937, and died 19 January 2008 was an American film theatre, television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in theatre and was in films by the late 1950s. In later years, she was a prominent actor in movies such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Later, she appeared in many television productions and was frequently acting as a guest. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, which earned her many Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager in both the Paramount Theater and Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
